Sky Arts is launching The Prince's Master Crafters: The Next Generation after this year, which will exist hosted by comedian Jim Moir. Drawn from across the country, the half-dozen apprentice craftspeople will explore the history and importance of six fundamental disciplines.

They'll be joined by some of the state's leading experts who each week fix them a new job within their crafts.

These include: woods carving, stained glass, weaving, blacksmithing, rock carving and pargeting.

The final episode will see the crafters visit Dumfries House, home to The Prince'southward Foundation, to seek inspiration for their showcase pieces.
